This cute, odd-looking fish has multiple ways to tell a predator to back off. It can inflate itself with water, some species have spines, and its body contains tetrodotoxin, one of the most potent natural toxins known.

I love that something so small and seemingly ridiculous can have such an impressive defense system. Cute and deadly. I love that combination.
