Story
The Eastern Bluebird holds a special place in my heart. After spending nearly four months waiting outside my North Carolina retreat for the perfect reference photo, I created Wonder, a painting celebrating this magical little bird and the lessons it taught me about patience and stillness.
A Little Blue is part of that same journey. This painting captures three Eastern Bluebirds perched quietly, taking in the world around them. Unlike the movement and flight explored in Wonder, these birds represent the moments between—the pause before taking off, the quiet observation, and the beauty found in stillness.
Both paintings hold a special place in my heart because of everything that one spring season in the Smoky Mountains taught me. Sometimes the waiting is where the wonder happens.
