All of My Chucks in a Row

All of My Chucks in a Row is the third installment of the Chucks series and the painting that brings the collection together.

Each painting in this series features my own legs and my own Converse All-Stars, photographed during a self-directed photoshoot. The shoes are the focus, but the person wearing them is always present.

In this piece, the Chucks overlap and rest against each other like a lineup of old friends. Painted with visible brushstrokes and an almost impressionistic approach, the goal was never to create a perfect product image, but to capture the personality, energy, and joy of something I genuinely love.

The title is a little bit of wordplay because, honestly, what else would a painting of a row of Chucks be called?
